Studio Update: Week of 11/17- 11/23
This week I was really, and I mean really, starting to feel the burn out. I had to prep things for the wood kiln as well as for my upcoming dinner party. I threw a bunch of chalice parts that I trimmed and assembled for the dinner party. I remember feeling very frustrated with how much I needed to do and how little I felt like I was able to accomplish each day (hindsight I was accomplishing a lot but there was just too much on my plate). I needed to make sure I had 14 chalices, 14 plates, 14 taco stands, cake stands, and serving bowls for my dinner party. I also needed to make sure that I had work to put into the wood kiln. Molly and I shared a teary eyed moment while eating taco bell late in the studio this week. "I'm proud of you, we got this" we both said. We did not have this ( emotionally). But we did finish the work for the wood kiln.
